The basic rules
To write a review, you need a free OKReviews account and you must be at least 16 years old. Your review must describe a real experience you had yourself, for example a purchase, a visit, a delivery or a call with customer service.
You don't need an invitation from the business. Anyone with a genuine experience can write a review, whether the business has claimed its page or not.
Who can't review a business
- You can't review your own business. If you manage a business page on OKReviews, you can't write a review for it.
- You can't review your employer, or a business you are closely connected to.
- You can't review a competitor.
Reviews that look like a conflict of interest may be labeled. Such reviews are shown, but they are not counted in the TrustScore.
Gifts, discounts and payments
Businesses can't pay or reward you for a review on OKReviews. If a business still offered you something, such as a discount, a coupon or a free product, you must say so in your review. The review is then shown with a label, so readers know.
One review per business
You can write one review per business. If you write again for the same business, you update your existing review instead. See How do I change my review?
