Why is my review hidden or pending?
Short answer
Some reviews appear after a quick check, and a review can be hidden for a short time while a moderator looks at it. You'll be notified when it's published or if anything changes.

Waiting for a quick check
Most reviews are published as soon as you post them. Some appear after a quick check. If so, you'll see "Your review will appear after a quick check" when you post. You'll get a notice in Notifications when it is published.
Hidden while we check
Sometimes a review is hidden ("flagged") while a moderator checks it, for example when our automatic checks find something unusual. This isn't a final decision. The moderator will either make it visible again or tell you why it was removed.
Reports from businesses don't hide reviews. A reported review stays visible until a moderator decides.
Other reasons you might not see it
- You're signed in with a different account. Check the email in My account.
- New reviews for this business are paused. We sometimes pause new reviews for a business while we investigate unusual activity. The business page shows a notice when this happens.
- The review was removed. You'll have an email and a notification with the rule and the reason. See Why was my review removed?
If we ask for proof
A moderator may ask you to confirm your experience with a receipt or photo. In that case your review stays visible while we check. See Why are you asking me for proof?
