How does OKReviews stay neutral?
Short answer
Businesses can't pay to change their score, hide reviews or choose who they invite. Every moderation decision has a written reason and can be appealed, and we publish our numbers.

Money never changes reviews
Collecting, showing and answering reviews is free for every business. We earn money from an optional AI plan with extra tools. Paying never changes a TrustScore or which reviews are shown, or in what order. Claiming a business page doesn't change them either.
Every business page shows whether the business uses paid OKReviews services, so you can see for yourself.
Businesses can't hide criticism
- No business can remove or hide reviews, on any plan.
- Reported reviews stay visible until a moderator decides.
- Businesses must invite all their customers, not only happy ones. Business pages show how many customers a business invites, and whether each review was organic or invited. See What do the labels on reviews mean?
Fair moderation
- Every removal or label comes with the rule broken and a written reason.
- Anyone affected can appeal for 6 months, for free.
- Appeals are always decided by a person, never only by software.
- You can also turn to an out-of-court dispute settlement body or to the courts.
Scores and numbers you can check
The TrustScore is calculated the same way for every business, and each business page explains how. See How is the TrustScore calculated?
Our transparency report shows, month by month, how many reviews we received, published and removed, how we handled reports and appeals, and how many businesses and users we warned or restricted. It updates live.
